Rianto leads Capturing Body Connectivity workshop at Esplanade

Rianto, master performer of the traditional Javanese crossgender dance form lengger, led Capturing Body Connectivity, Esplanade’s first workshop with the acclaimed dancer.

Designed for professional dancers, full time dance students, movement practitioners, and theatre actors, the session explored the relationship between movement, voice, and internal awareness, bridging Javanese dance traditions with contemporary practice.

Participants were invited to bring their own music track to work with during the workshop, deepening the personal and embodied approach to connectivity through sound and movement.
