Ngo Thanh Hung is a Vietnam-based artist and lecturer at the University of Architecture in Da Nang. His practice is material and process-led, using experimental lacquer and mixed media surfaces to treat earth as a living subject that holds memory, weather, and human traces. He received the Bronze Award in the Established Artist Category at UOB Painting of the Year Vietnam 2025 for Memories of the Earth, a work built through layered materials and textured strata that evoke land, history, and resilience.
As a UOB artist, Ngo Thanh Hung will contribute to the Forum as a special guest and dialogue speaker, sharing insights into his artistic process and how material, memory, and environment shape his understanding of art, sustainability, and lived experience.
