MUSEUM OF CLIMATE MEMORY

Razcel Jan Salvarita

The traces of climate memory runs through the veins and imprinted in the cellular memory of the inner landscape of the body - to all living creatures and non-living created forms. The Museum of Climate Memory is a conceptual work by nature and integrates an experientiallearning methodology which encapsulates storytelling, inner performative movement, traveling immersion, and research. Most importantly, the intention of this project is to develop a mainstream engagement with people whereby they can integrate their own tapestry of experience in the present, with the past, and their future speculation in the spectrum of climate memory. And to a certain degree, the exploration of the presence of “climate change” within the body place an indicator of individual response that may evoke narratives influenced by climate memory. Moreover, it’s the hope to emerge with a renewed sense of courage, culturally and artistically, to respond against climate and environmental anxiety.
